How to Live Past 100 Part 3

We're finally through it, my friends.

It’s finally here - the last part of this video. I hope it was helpful to walk through these claims together and fight back against the idea that we can all just hack our health and live forever. If you found this helpful, let me know! If you didn’t, I guess let me know that too!

I am also excited to announce a new paid benefit starting this April!!

Introducing Getting Full (with Gretchen).

Starting April 9th at 9am CT, I will be offering a once-per-month meal support group for my paid subscribers. Also starting in April I will be upping my monthly and yearly subscriptions to $8/month and $80/year from the current price of $5/month and $45/year. I’m doing this to match the time, effort, and increased quality of a paid subscription and to better match how I would price this type of group session in my practice. If you upgrade your subscription before April 1st, current pricing will be honored for a year!

What can you expect with this type of support group?

  • A theme! April’s theme will be an Ask Me Anything (AMA) style group where participants can submit questions ahead of time or ask me questions directly in the group.

  • An opportunity to eat with others. I’ve found that one of the ways diet culture impacts us is by making eating uncomfortable when we’re with other people. This group provides the opportunity to normalize eating, to practice eating particularly triggering or difficult foods, and to participate in the innate human desire to celebrate life by eating with others.

  • Various types of support by me, a dietitian. Some of the future themes I have planned include

    • Diet Culture myth busting

    • Mindfulness techniques

    • Holiday planning and support

    • Intuitive eating discussions

    • Body image support

    • and more!

  • A welcoming, inclusive space for anybody and everybody. This is a space to celebrate being full together, learning from one another, and dismantling diet culture with new friends. There is no requirement to join every month, but I’m hoping this can become a community space to meet new people and feel connected to the anti-diet space. The plan is to have all cameras on while we’re together to encourage collaboration and connection.

  • One hour per month at varying times and days. I hate when there is a group or experience I’d love to participate in, but it occurs at the same time and on the same day every single month… so if I have a conflict, I am just SOL. I’m going to do my best to have a breakfast, lunch, and snack option on either Tuesdays or Wednesdays each month to hopefully make the group workable for everyone at some point. This will also help to practice different skills at different meals and provide the opportunity to challenge yourself at different eating opportunities.

Access to the group will be sent to paid subscribers one day before the group and reminders with dates and times will be sent starting a month in advance in all other normal newsletters. If you have any questions for the group (AMA!), questions about details, or want to know if meal support is a good option for you, please email me at gretchen@full-lifenutrition.com.
